About this spot
From Egensehytten, there is a good view over Engsøen. Birds and sounds are close by. Sea eagles are often seen. Frogs in spring can be heard all the way up in the tower. The path here goes through a small forest with Scots pines, oaks, and many blackberry bushes. They bloom profusely in spring, and berries can be picked in August/September. The hut faces away from the sun, which provides good visibility and conditions for photography. A lovely spot for an atmospheric sunset trip.
