About this spot
The site is located in Silkeborg Østerskov, on the Århus-Silkeborg hiking trail below Karoline Amalies Høj. At the site, there is a fire pit and a composting toilet. Firewood can be gathered from the forest floor. There is no drinking water at the site, but it can be fetched during the season at the forest ranger stations Myrhus (in the northern end of Østerskoven) or Borresøhus (in the southern end of Østerskoven by Paradisvejen). The shelter can be booked here on this page. Booking only grants exclusive rights to the shelter, not to the site’s other facilities.
