About this spot

The overnight accommodation site is open to everyone for both overnight stays and cozy campfires. Use and stay are free. The shelters can be booked by organized groups of 15 people or more via the booking link at the bottom of this page. Here you can also see if the shelters are booked by others. If the shelters are not booked, the first-come, first-served principle applies. Booking the shelters means you have priority to the shelters themselves - not to the entire site, which others are also welcome to use while you are there. It is good shelter culture to make room for others in the shelter, if possible. If you have booked the shelters and have not occupied them before 8 PM, the priority lapses, and others may use them. You are allowed to pitch a tent at the site. You are welcome to light a fire at existing fire pits. You may gather wood for the fire in the surrounding forest and scrub. Remember to check for any fire bans. Extinguish the fire thoroughly after you, leaving no embers, or stay until the fire has completely burned out. It is not permitted to play loud music or create other noise that disturbs animals and other people. Take your waste with you when you leave the site. By the parking lot, there is a primitive toilet, and at Springbakkevej, there is a water post that is open all year. Parking: Drive to Springbakkevejen 9. The area is grazed by a calm herd of Galloway cattle that maintain the nature and keep it open. The shelter site was established with support from the Miljøstyrelsen’s outdoor recreation fund in 2020.
