Fodsporet, Næstved-Dalmose

The nature trail Fodsporet was established in 2011 on the disused railway line between Næstved, Slagelse, and Skælskør - a total stretch of 48 km. Rails and sleepers have been removed, and the path is asphalted along its entire length. The path can thus be used by many different user groups. Along the route, 6 overnight stay sites have been established with shelters with drinking water and primitive toilets, nature playgrounds, exercise areas, health trails, fire shelters, and information. Thus, there is an opportunity to take a multi-day trip on Fodsporet, for example, on foot or by bicycle, and use the overnight accommodation options along the way. The path runs through both open landscapes and forests, passing close by the old station buildings, most of which are still in their original location along the “railway”.
