Koutrupgård is set up in a former Hærvejen Inn, located immediately north of the sources of Gudenåen and Skjernåen rivers, and close to Rørbæk Lake and Tinnet Krat. Around Koutrupgård, approximately 2100 hectares of forest and nature are protected. 400 hectares are state-owned, and most of these are designated as natural forest. A coherent network of nature trails with associated parking lots and recreational areas has been established. Koutrupgård can be rented for meetings and courses. Here there is a parking lot, public toilets, a primitive overnight accommodation area, a campsite with 3 shelters, and a fire and activity area.
