Livø

A natural gem in the middle of Limfjorden. The island offers, among other things, rich wildlife, exciting and versatile nature, and a distinctive cultural history. All of Livø is protected. The island is 320 ha, equally divided between forest, agriculture, and open natural areas. The island also features an organic demonstration farm, one of Denmark’s oldest. Work is also underway to ensure a future sustainable operation of Livø, in a way that preserves and utilizes the cultural environment, and supplies the island with renewable energy. The island is suitable for day visits; however, overnight accommodation options are available both at the island’s tent site and Livø Feriecenter. The public may not bring dogs.
