The primitive overnight site consists of 2 mini-shelters with a fire pit and a small bench. It is possible to pitch a couple of smaller tents within 20 meters of the shelter. There is space for 2-3 overnight guests per shelter. Additionally, at this site, there are table and bench sets and a campfire, with a view of the forest. You must bring your own water and firewood. It is permitted to collect branches from the forest floor for firewood, but trees must not be felled. The shelter site must be left tidy, and all waste must be carried out of the forest. Remember to extinguish the fire before you leave the shelter site! If you arrive by car, you must park at the parking lot by Skovlegepladsen on Kratvej 2, 3550 Slangerup. From here, it is a hike of approx. 1-2 kilometers. With public transport, you should take bus 337 to the bus stop called Lystrup Skov (Lystrupvej), from where it is approx. a 1-2 kilometer hike.
