Kjællinghøl

It is a lovely natural area where, in 2002, a replica of a longhouse from the 7th century was built. Next to the longhouse are small workshop houses, an oven house, and a chopping shed. Inside the forest edge, there are 3 shelters, a toilet/storage building, and a water tap. School classes can participate in historical workshop visits, where a guide involves students in daily life from the early Viking Age. Food is prepared, games are played, and crafts from that period are worked on. See more under Naturskolen’s “activities” on our website. Kjællinghøl is an ideal place for immersion and overnight stays. If you are working on crafts and need tools, a guide will accompany you. One school class can sleep in the longhouse. In the 3 shelters, there is sleeping space for approx. 25. The storage building is combined with 2 toilets, one of which is handicap-accessible.
