About this spot
Free camping in the classic dune plantation Østerild. In Østerild Plantage, there are large open areas with rich flora, such as Plettet Gøreurt, and in the late summer evenings, the whirring song of the nightjar can be heard, though it is rarely seen. The forests consist of classic tree species belonging to the dune heath, such as Scots pine and Sitka spruce, but large groups of deciduous trees are also found in Østerild Klitplantage.
