Kalvebod Fælled, Pinseskoven, Ålen shelter

Ålen is located right on the edge of Pinseskoven with a view over Klydesø bird sanctuary. 10-12 adults can sleep here. Water tap at Viben approximately 1 km south. There is a primitive toilet at the site. Bring your own toilet paper and possibly hand sanitizer. It is possible to fish in the canal along Ellevehøjvej. Remember that it requires a fishing license. You can book preferential rights for overnight stays in the shelter. You can have a maximum of two consecutive overnight stays in the shelter. Only the shelter is booked. Others can simultaneously use facilities and pitch a tent at the site. Booking can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelter before 8 PM, otherwise your preferential right expires. You can set up a few supplementary tents next to the shelter. You will typically be able to collect some firewood around the site, but if you want to be sure of dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or charcoal. Spare the living trees.
