In the campfire hut, there are two shelters with rotating walls. There is space for 4-5 people per shelter. The campfire hut and the 2 shelters are booked together. Two different time slots can be booked: From 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, From 4:00 PM - 10:00 AM the next day. The shelters have an integrated manual hoist with access from the hut side for wheelchair users, and there is 220V for charging electric wheelchairs. In the campfire hut, there is a fire pit with a rotating grate and a large grate. Anyone can book the campfire hut, and upon booking, the entire campfire hut including the 2 shelters is reserved. If you are a small group and do not wish to book in advance, we refer you to use the small shelter site on Kærhalvø sti 12. Here, 2 shelters are available. These are free to use and cannot be booked in advance. Access to the campfire hut and shelters can be by foot, bike, or wheelchair. Any cars can be parked at Støvlen. NOTE: The campfire hut is monitored for safety reasons. To ensure everyone has a good experience, please observe the following rules: You may stay overnight here for two days. Toilet visits must be made at Støvlen or Sønderborg Naturcenter. Drinking water is available during the frost-free period at the campfire hut (please let the water run for a short while first). You may use the firewood located in the hut (we replenish it continuously, but if you want to be sure, please bring your own firewood – only use dry wood to avoid too much smoke in the hut). You may not collect firewood from the forest. You may not light a fire anywhere other than the campfire hut’s fire pit. You take your trash with you or sort it into the bins provided in the campfire hut. You treat things properly. Motorized vehicle access to the shelter site is not permitted.
