In Aggersund, you can visit King Harald Bluetooth’s largest ring fortress - Aggersborg, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2023 as part of “Viking-Age Ring Fortresses”. Located by the Limfjord, the fortress represents Harald Bluetooth’s power around the year 980 and is recognized for its outstanding cultural-historical value. You can also experience the many German bunkers from WW2 that are still freely accessible in the area, or take a walk up Aggersund Bridge with its beautiful view over the Limfjord. There are ample opportunities for fishing in the area by the harbor and the many streams on the south side.
