About this spot
Fryndesholm has an area of 36 hectares and is located by Østkystvejen, approximately 200 m south of Fynshav. The forest consists predominantly of beech, ash, and sycamore maple - often mixed. The stream Kornbæk with 2 tributaries runs through the forest. There is access to the forest from Østkystvejen, and there is a parking lot just before turning into the forest. In the forest, there are 3 round barrows, one of which has a capstone with 15 cup marks. Furthermore, there are distinct and clear terrace edges from the Iron Age agricultural systems, as well as earth and stone dikes around the forest. Free tenting is allowed in the forest.
