Skillingbro

The three shelters, along with Skillingbro nature school, are part of Rebildcentret with Thingbæk Kalkminer, www.rebildcentret.dk, located 700 meters from the shelters. REGAN Vest is also located less than 1 km from the shelters. There is a toilet and shower 100 m from the shelters (not in the nature school), and a fire pit right by the shelters. There is a fantastic natural area with many trails, including the Gravlev Ådal Route (11 km), which also encompasses Skillingbro Undervejsbro, and likewise the Rebildbakker Route. Both are certified hiking routes. The three identical shelters are named Fiskehejren, Isfuglen, and Vandstæren. The floor width is 4.1 m - so 5 people can easily sleep in each shelter. For the first year, use has been free, but from June 1, 2026, it will cost 100 DKK per shelter per night. Please pay via MobilePay 329032 upon arrival at the latest. We are working on a booking calendar, but for now, it’s first come, first served.
