About this spot

Shelter with space for 3-4 people northeast of Stanghedevej, along the asphalted “Alhedestien,” which runs for 48 km, of which 42 km follow the old railway track between Viborg and Herning. The route is signposted as “Regionalrute 21.” On the route, you can experience varied nature from oak forests to heathlands, while simultaneously being led through a series of charming villages. The shelter is not bookable and may be used on a first-come, first-served basis. It is possible to fetch water on the opposite side of Stanghedevej at Bøssemageren, at the water tap found under the mailbox. Firewood for the campfire must be brought from home. The shelter was built with support from A.P. Møller Fonden.
