The shelter must be booked. The site consists of a small shelter and a fire pit with a bench. It is permitted to pitch two tents (max. 3-person) in immediate proximity to the shelter, max. 10 meters away. You must bring your own water and firewood. However, it is permitted to collect dead branches from the forest floor, but no trees may be felled. Remember to take your trash with you and extinguish the fire before leaving the site. You will find a composting toilet at Graverhuspladsen. Directions by car: The parking lot on Gillelejevej opposite Skovskolen (Nødebovej 77 3480) is less than approx. 2 km away from the shelter. No driving cars in the forest is allowed, but the forest roads are suitable for cyclists and pedestrians. Directions by public transport: You can also get off the bus at Skovskolen in Nødebo and walk along Esrum lake. A trip of less than 2 km.
