In the nature area, wild flowers, a poppy field, fruit trees, ericaceous plants, a sandbed, and much more have been planted, which in summer create a lush, blooming garden with plenty of insects and animals. The local daycare, Kernehuset, has also made birdhouses that hang around in the trees, providing chirping life. In addition to rich plant and animal life, the nature area is equipped with a campfire site, pavilion, and picnic tables, offering ample opportunity to prepare your own food and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you want to get your pulse up, there is also the possibility on the Tarzan course. Access to the nature area is from Himmerlandsstien, allowing you to arrive as a cyclist, hiker, or rider. If you wish to stay overnight, you can use the nature area’s train shelters – two shelters built as old train carriages, in keeping with the area’s history.
