Sortland Lavvu

Great shelter! Great location with a view of the fjord and the islands. Lavvu: 4 to 5 berths, or about 8 seats. There is a fire pit in the lavvu (but be careful not to use the broken boards lying around the site, as they are treated with chemicals and irritate the eyes). Always leave the door slightly open! Roof/shelter/grill area: 2 berths, about 5 seats. Fire pit: ONLY USE WHEN THERE IS GUARANTEED NO WIND! The ground on the mountain is peat, which is a danger of bog fires! No proper wood available. The toilet is in good condition. There is a bog lake at the bottom, it’s best to boil the water. In winter, please only use the marked hiking trail, as a cross-country ski trail is being made here.
