Idyllic Breivoll Gård is located by Bunnefjorden in Ås municipality, 30 minutes from Oslo. The farm was officially opened by DNT Oslo og Omegn in August 2019, and offers a combination of a cozy farm café, modern accommodation, and excellent facilities for courses and events. Accommodation: The Barn at Breivoll Gård combines traditional log construction with modern facilities. Here you will find 8 rooms distributed over two floors, with 28 beds and 20 hammocks, as well as the possibility for extra mattresses. Accommodation must be pre-booked; book your spot at hyttebestilling.dnt.no. Café: Our cozy farm café offers delicious pastries, homemade lunch dishes, soup, pizza, waffles, and more. Hiking opportunities: Breivoll Gård is located right by the fjord in an outdoor recreation area with lush nature, coastline, and many hiking opportunities. The coastline offers bathing beaches and inviting lawn areas, as well as rich wildlife, including protected bird nesting sites. You will find blue-marked trails through the forest right behind the farm, a Culture Trail with exciting history, a nature trail for children, Sherpa stairs, and a coastal path. Experience the unique cultural landscape with important natural values and distinctive flora and fauna. You can easily walk to Svartskog and further to Hvervenbukta. It is only 10 km from Ås center and 9 km from Ski station, making it easy to start the hike from the local area. Kayak: Breivoll Gård organizes kayak courses that provide a “våttkort” certificate, and DNT Oslo og Omegn offers guided tours throughout the season. You can also rent kayaks by booking online or dropping in at the café during opening hours – remember that a “Våttkort” from NPF or equivalent qualifications is necessary for rental. We have a public parking lot 200 meters from the farm, which includes two disabled parking spaces.
