Tyrishølt

Tyrishølt is a small overnight cabin, located along Stølsruta in Valdres. You will find the cabin by entering the courtyard by the barn and through the gate (see attached site map): Water is available outside on the cabin wall. The outdoor toilet is at the lower corner of the barn. The cabin has electricity for both heating and lighting. No wood heating. There are no provisions at the cabin, but DNT Valdres provides a bicycle that can be used for a shopping trip down to the store at Langestølen (4 km each way). The cabin can be used as an emergency shelter outside the opening period, but then without heating, cooking facilities, or light. There are 3 regular rooms - a larger room upstairs of approx. 30 m2 and two smaller rooms on the lower floor, each approx. 5.5 m2. In the area of the larger room upstairs, a separate “cubby” of over 2 m2 is included for hand/face washing, tooth brushing, etc. On the lower floor, there is a hallway with an area of approx. 7 m2 connecting the two bedrooms and with a width of 115 cm. Here it is possible to place two extra mattresses on the floor. Beds: Upstairs there are 3 beds (one double bed 200x150, one large single bed 200x110, one regular/small single bed 185x85). In each of the two bedrooms on the lower floor, there is a so-called “family bunk bed” with the upper bunk placed transversally in relation to the bed below. The lower bed is 200x120, the upper bunk is 200x80. Kitchen equipment: small kitchen counter, two hot plates, refrigerator, plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, pots, frying pan. Dogs: Not allowed in common rooms or bedrooms. Locking: The cabin is locked with two standard DNT locks - one for each of the two separate entrances upstairs and downstairs.
