Ravnsjøholmen med lavvo, gapahuker og dagsturhytte

Ravnsjøholmen is an idyllic hiking destination primarily intended as a campsite for children and youth. It is very suitable for school classes, scout groups, and other similar groups. Here you will find two shelters (gapahuker), a wooden lavvo with a floor, an outdoor toilet, and the day trip cabin Slottet (Under restoration - not open). Slottet on Ravnsjøholmen was built in 1880 and is Østfold’s first holiday cabin. Access to Ravnsjøholmen can be by foot southwards from Ravnsjøhytta, approx. 0.5 km to signage and blue markings. The trail is hilly and partly steep, but well equipped with ropes and stairs. You can also paddle or row across the water from Ravnsjøhytta. From the Råde side, you can also arrive by following Ravnsjøveien, then walk approx. 4 km on a toll road to signage and a blue-marked trail towards Ravnsjøholmen. So, outdoor enthusiasts in the district, children, youth, and adults are heartily welcome! Use the place with respect for its history, nature, and those who have contributed. Nordhuken, Sørhuken, and the lavvo on Ravnsjøholmen can be freely used as long as they are not occupied by schools and other children and youth groups who have arranged stays in advance.
