Tjennimellom - dagsturhytta i Gjerstad

Dagsturhytta Tjennimellom is beautifully situated in the forest on a hill between Grytingtjern and Langtjern. At the cabin, you can experience nature’s silence and tranquility. Perhaps you’ll also see a rise or three in one of the nearby tarns. Or how about a swim on a warm summer day? Tjennimellom is a day-trip destination where you can take a break, eat your packed lunch, get warm, meet others, experience the surrounding nature, and perhaps browse a book. The cabin is 25 m2 in size and has both a library and a wood-burning stove. Bring your own firewood if you want to make a fire. There is also a solar power system with lighting for use when it gets dark. The cabin is only intended for day visits, and overnight stays must optionally occur in a tent or hammock nearby. In addition to being a hiking destination in itself, the cabin’s library provides a hiking experience beyond the ordinary. Here you will find books on nature, local history, fairy tales, etc. The books are intended for reading on-site and cannot be borrowed to take home. The hiking library is a collaboration between Agder County Library and the public library in each municipality.
