The new cabin at Vettismorki is a hidden gem. Here, one quickly finds peace – you are embraced by the beautiful mountains, calm bird song, and the quiet stream that runs through the yard. The route between Skogadalsbøen and Vetti is long, and a self-service DNT cabin at Vettismorki has long been desired, especially after Ingjerdbu ceased to be available to tourists. This will be a welcome offering for hikers walking the route up to Skogadalsbøen and for those who wish to do a round trip in Utladalen. Drop-in visits are not possible. About the cabin Total sleeping capacity: 9 Number of beds available for booking: 5 Number of beds for drop-in: 4 The beds that can be pre-booked are numbered (see floor plans under Photos). Equipment The cabin has all the equipment you need for cooking and a pleasant stay, such as full kitchenware, crockery, and bed linen. In addition, you will find a good selection of food in the provisions room. There is no electricity at the cabin, but gas, wood burning, and candles are available as light sources. Guests are responsible for their own cooking, fetching water, washing dishes, cleaning floors, and generally tidying the cabin inside and out. Other DNT member associations may have different prices. Go to price list Pre-booking via hyttebestilling.dnt.no It has never been easier to book a cabin trip at DNT cabins. Via hyttebestilling.dnt.no, you can easily see when the cabin is available, explore cabins on a map, and book a spot. DNT Oslo og Omegn allocates a limited number of beds for booking. The remaining beds will be open for drop-in. Arrive at the cabin before 7:00 PM to secure the bed you have reserved; after 7:00 PM, the bed may be assigned to others, but your booking is still valid. Pay for food and accommodation in the DNT app At self-service and unstaffed DNT cabins, you can easily register and pay for accommodation and provisions in the DNT app. Have you pre-booked? Then the accommodation itself is already paid for – only register provisions in the app. Remember to download the app before your trip! The app also works without mobile coverage. Payment form You can also pay by filling out a payment form, which you will find at the cabin. Upon departure, place the completed payment form in the safe and take the copy with you. We will then send you an invoice, but please note that a fee of NOK 50 will be charged for using a payment form. Remember to fill in the correct price for accommodation based on age and member/non-member status, and all food you have taken. For your information, it is no longer possible to pay with cash at self-service cabins. Dogs It is not permitted to have dogs in common rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms. There is a separate dog room with 3 beds and 2 dog crates in the emergency cabin. All beds and dog crates can be pre-booked.
