Lossihytta

Lossihytta is located in Norddalen in Skjomen with the Storsteinmassivet, including the beautiful mountains Huinarcóhkka (1788 masl) and Ippocóhkka (1727 masl), as neighbors (the mountains are not named on the maps). The cabin is easily accessible from the road and is frequently used by families with children. The cabin has a well (in a small shed just east of the main cabin), a great advantage in winter when it can be quite exposed to wind around the cabin. The main cabin has 6 beds and a double sofa bed. Lillehytta has 3 beds. There is mobile coverage at the cabin (Telenor). Both cabins have electricity. Preferably use electricity for heating. Water: Fetched from a well in the yard. Booking and payment: At this cabin, you book bed by bed. The cabin is locked with a standard DNT key. The key can be purchased, among other places, at Sparebanken Narvik, Visit Narvik, and Sportcentret. At Sportcentret, there are good member benefits. You can also order a key in the DNT store. Firewood in the mountains is very expensive and labor-intensive – it is not allowed to use firewood for outdoor campfires. Take your own rubbish home! The roads on Skjomfjellet / Narvikfjellene lead to several of DNT Narvik’s cabins. The roads are open to public traffic approximately from June 1 to October 1. There are special prices for commercial groups. Prices are regardless of whether individuals are members or not. ALL guests in the group must be registered in the visitor log. NB! The cabins must not be used by businesses and commercial operators on weekends, during winter and Easter holidays, public holidays (Ascension Day, Pentecost), as well as May 1 and May 17.
