Fjølburøsta

Fjølburøsta is a cabin located on an old mountain farm of the same name - only available for overnight stays in summer. The cabin was previously an accommodation option associated with the mountain farm, but from 2021 it will be a self-service cabin. There are 12 beds in the cabin and it will be part of the accommodation options along the Historic hiking route between Røros and Femundsmarka, Malmveien. Sleeping spaces The cabin has 12 beds, but of these, 4 pull-out beds on the first floor are unusual in size. It is also possible to use the mattresses in the high loft (see floor plans under Pictures). 6 beds can be pre-booked. 6 beds for drop-in. Equipment The cabin has all the equipment you need for cooking and a pleasant stay, such as full kitchenware, crockery, and bedding. In addition, you will find a good selection of food in the pantry. There is electricity from solar panels in the cabin for lighting; there is also the possibility to charge mobiles with a USB cable. Heating with a wood-burning stove, and a gas oven for cooking. Water is fetched from the well right outside. Guests are responsible for cooking, fetching water, washing dishes, cleaning floors, and generally tidying the cabin inside and out. Payment Prices for accommodation and provisions We note that the prices at the cabin follow the price list of DNT Oslo and Omegn. Other member associations in DNT may have different prices. Go to price list. Pre-booking via hyttebestilling.dnt It has never been easier to book a cabin trip at DNT cabins. Via hyttebestilling.dnt.no you can easily see when the cabin is available, explore cabins on a map, and book a spot. DNT Oslo and Omegn make a limited number of beds available for booking. The remaining beds will be open for drop-in. Arrive at the cabin before 19:00 to secure the bed you have reserved; after 19:00, the bed may be allocated to others, but your booking remains valid. Pay for food and accommodation in the DNT app In self- and unstaffed DNT cabins, you easily register and pay for accommodation and provisions in the DNT app. Have you pre-booked? Then the accommodation itself is already paid for – only register provisions in the app. Remember to download the app before you go on your trip! The app also works without coverage. Payment slip You can also pay by filling out a payment slip which you will find in the cabin. Upon departure, place the completed payment slip in the safe and take a copy with you. We will then send you an invoice, but please note that a fee of NOK 50,- will be charged for using a payment slip. Remember to fill in the correct price for accommodation based on age and member/non-member status, and all food you have taken. For your information, it is no longer possible to pay with cash at self-service cabins. Dog There is no separate dog room, only a dog crate in the outbuilding.
