About this spot
The wildest, the least touristy of the Ecrins valleys. No 3G network, narrow roads. Lots of cool spots. Here in La Chapelle, the only slightly commercial corner, park at the exit of the village after or before the bridge, but not in front of the campsites (Seen with the mayor). Cheap campsites, the must: “jobs”, in the heart of nature. Attention flocks = flies. To see: the abandoned village of Navette, the Oules, the waterfalls! You cannot sleep at the end of the valley in the Giobernet car park. The smallest vans can go to sleep at the end of the track leading to Navette (very narrow and crossing of fords). Special mention for the cabbage sausages from the butcher at La Chapelle au Barbecue.
