Fodsporet, Slagelse-Dalmose

The Fodsporet nature trail was established in 2011 on the disused railway line between Næstved, Slagelse, and Skælskør - a total stretch of 48 km. Rails and sleepers have been removed, and the path is asphalted along its entire length. The trail can therefore be used by many different user groups. Along the route, 6 overnight accommodation sites have been established with shelters, drinking water, and primitive toilets, nature playgrounds, exercise areas, health trails, campfire huts, and information. There is thus the possibility of taking a multi-day trip on Fodsporet, for example, on foot or by bicycle, and utilizing the overnight accommodation options along the way. The trail runs through both open landscapes and forests, passing close by the old station buildings, most of which are still in their original location along the “railway.”
