About this spot
The lake was established in a large depression in the landscape where the remains of the original Bølling Sø lay. The area is protected to create a beautiful and varied landscape benefiting both people and nature. A 12 km nature trail is marked around the lake. Recreational areas with tables and benches have been established at the designated car parks. A couple of old hunting lodges can be used as picnic houses. At the car park south of Dværgebakke near Kragelundvej, there is a toilet and information pavilion, tables, benches, campfire and barbecue sites, and a tent site. Along the Hærvejen route northeast of the lake, there is an option for primitive overnight accommodation.
