Shelterplads Trunderup Sø

In Trunderupskoven east of Haarby, there are two shelter sites. The shelter at Trunderup Sø is located in a clearing slightly up a slope. From here, there is a good view over the forest and the lake. By the lake’s fishing platform, you will find a toilet with water. A defibrillator is also installed inside the toilet. At the shelter site, there is an associated fire pit and a table and bench set. If there is firewood in the woodshed, you are welcome to use it in limited quantities. It costs 20 kr., which can be paid via MobilePay no. 878 119. Firewood is only supplied occasionally, so if you want to be sure you can light a fire, bring your own firewood. Naturally, trees and bushes on the site must not be felled or cut. The shelter can be booked via www.bookenshelter.dk for 10 kr./person/night. If no one has booked the shelter, you can also still choose to “take a chance” without booking. Then the “first-come, first-served” principle applies, and an overnight stay costs nothing. However, if users who have booked the shelter for that specific day arrive, you will have to leave the entire shelter to them. There is parking at Trunderupvej. From here, a path leads down to the lake and further up to the shelter site. The forest’s second shelter is located in the western part of the forest by Spejdergryden. Trunderupskoven extends over a hilly area with forest, pastures, and a lake. The hilly terrain makes it difficult for people with walking difficulties and strollers to reach the shelters, but they can get there.
