About this spot

The shelter site is located in a coniferous forest on the edge of Gludsted Plantage, which, with its 3400 ha, is one of the country’s largest. The nature trail on the disused railway, Den Skæve Bane, is right next to the site, which is gravel-surfaced on this section of the route. The shelter site has two shelters, each accommodating approx. 6 people. The shelters cannot be booked, but are used on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a composting toilet, but no drinking water, and fires are not allowed. The shelter was built with support from A.P. Møller Fonden.
