Kirkendrup forest is a young deciduous forest. The first parts were planted in the mid-1990s. It is often possible to see animals in the forest. There is a well-developed trail system in the area, which offers many different excursion opportunities. The forest also offers many different activities: There are two campfire huts, a nature playground with a series of figures that encourage singing in the forest, as well as a primitive overnight site and a shelter site.
