Skovkrogen

The shelter site at Skovkrogen is part of the Blue Support Points shelter concept, where you can stay overnight in new modern shelters all the way around Fyn. The shelter site is located in Assens Kommune’s recreational area with a view over Helnæs Bugt. The shelter must be booked at www.bookenshelter.dk, and it costs DKK 30/person/night. There is space for 4 people in the shelter – 5 if one wants to sleep on the floor. There is a fire ring with benches, a composting toilet, and water (in summer) at the site. If there is firewood in the woodshed, you are welcome to use it in limited quantities. It costs DKK 20, which can be paid via MobilePay no. 878 119. Firewood is only supplied occasionally, so if you want to be sure you can light a fire, bring your own firewood. Naturally, trees and bushes must not be felled or cut at the site. Out of consideration for the neighbors, there must be quiet at the site after 10 PM. One half of the shelter is divided into levels, so two can sleep upstairs and two downstairs. A fifth person can sleep on the floor in the other half of the shelter. The shelter has many doors, hatches, and windows, so in good weather, you can get plenty of light and air. In bad weather, the shelter can be almost completely closed off. However, there is one opening that cannot be closed. It is a requirement that a shelter must have at least one permanent opening.
