Sydlangeland

The southern tip of Langeland is covered by an extensive natural area with large, open grasslands, lakes and bogs, historic forests, steep cliffs, and the distinctive, rounded “hat hills” found only on Langeland. Here you can encounter a herd of approximately 60 “wild” Exmoor ponies, which manage themselves year-round – largely without human intervention. The area is communicated from nature center Dovnsgården. There are several marked hiking trails, including a “large” and “small” horse tour, where there is an opportunity to see the wild horses. In the forest Østre Gulskav, there are shelters that can be booked. The southernmost tip of Langeland is an Eldorado for birdwatchers during bird migration seasons, just as there are good opportunities for recreational fishing. There is access to the area from 5 parking lots. At the southern tip, there is a toilet.
