Sortspætten shelter

The Sortspætten shelter is located in northern Tisvildehegn. The shelter is situated in a younger birch stand on one side and a larger open area on the other, providing a good view from the hut. There will also be good opportunities for evening sun at the spot. There is room for two people, maybe three if lying a bit close. There is a bench and a small fire pit. The shelter can be found using the GPS coordinates, as it is not marked from the gravel road in the forest. GPS coordinates 56.04864, 12.05876. One can get there via Tisvildeleje station with a subsequent hike of 3 to 4 kilometers. You can also use one of the many forest parking lots around Tisvildehegn; the nearest is by Tisvildeleje beach, from where it is 2 kilometers to the shelter itself. Tisvildehegn is a large and beautiful forest, which is why it is recommended to take a longer hike from one of the other forest parking lots.
