Sandhøj shelterplads, True Skov

This shelter site is suitable for a few people; if you are a larger group, you can use the shelter site at Lundagergård. There is a composting toilet and a campfire hut nearby (approx. 350 meters from the campfire hut). There is no waste container. Bring plastic bags for taking your own trash home, toilet paper, and wet wipes. Leave the site as you wish to find it. Pre-booking: You can book priority for an overnight stay in the shelter. See further down the page. You can have a maximum of two consecutive overnight stays. Booking can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelters before 8 PM, otherwise your priority will be forfeited. Access conditions: The shelter site is located near the red hiking trail, which goes through True Skov and Skjoldhøjkilen. If you come by car, parking is available at Sandhøj parking lot on Selkærvej. Vehicle access to the site is not permitted. The shelter was built with support from A.P. Møller Fonden.
