Tranum Klitplantage - Ajs Holes Plads

There are two shelters, each with space for approx. 6 people, a campfire site with a grill grate, drinking water (summer), a composting toilet, and an old work wagon with a stove where you can seek shelter from rain or cold (but not stay overnight). Efforts are made to provide firewood, but it cannot be guaranteed. Tents are allowed, and wood can be gathered from the forest floor. The site cannot be booked. Move closer together to make room for more and keep the site neat and clean. Take your waste with you. The site is located by the forest road Overklitvej, adjacent to Vestkystruten (National Cycle Route No. 1). Driving a car to the site is NOT permitted. Parking is available at the car park on Sandmosevej by the forest road Overklitvej - 1.8 km, on Rødhusvej by the forest road Kanalvej - 1.5 km, or at the car park at the end of the public forest roads Den Grønne Vej / Skovens Hovedvej - 1.5 km. Here you are truly far away from everything; there is a dark night sky for stargazing and red deer roaring in autumn.
