About this spot
Fjelsted plantage, like Astrup plantage and the other plantations in the former Sindal municipality, was established as employment projects after the war. The forest is located in a hilly landscape, and there are good roads and paths. The forest mainly consists of noble fir, but a number of oak trees have been planted in recent decades. The scouts use the forest a lot and have established a very nice campfire hut, to which there is public access.
