About this spot
You reach Nyord and Hyldevang via a causeway from Ulvshale, which is Møn’s northwesternmost tip. On Nyord, there are large areas with salt marshes boasting rich birdlife, a particularly well-preserved village, and Hyldevang nature center. The nature center is set up in a former agricultural property, where a packed lunch room, an exhibition communicating the nature of Nyord, a campfire hut, a shelter campsite, a nature playground, and a bird observation tower with wheelchair access have now been established. From Hyldevang, you can walk along a nature trail to Nyord town with a very well-preserved town environment, harbor, and specialty shops. Hyldevang nature center is also home to a forest assistant project. The rich birdlife of the large salt marshes can be experienced especially from the bird tower at Hyldevang or from Fugleværnsfonden’s bird tower close to the road to Nyord town.
