About this spot

Stege Skov was planted in 2004 and is located close to Stege By. From the viewpoint Alice´s Bakke and Brillesøen, the area is connected to Udby Skov, which was planted in 1997. There is an extensive trail system in both forests. With a walk on the health trail, you can find your fitness level. A riding route follows the outer edges of the two forests - a trip of well over 6 km. In the western part of Stege Skov, there is also an enclosed dog forest. In the middle of Stege Skov is a large campfire hut that can be used freely, and at Mosehældgårdpladsen in Udby forest, you can stay overnight in a shelter. At this site, a so-called insect hotel has also been set up - an installation made from natural materials, which is intended to help wildlife thrive in the young forest.
