Ballesbækgård shelterplads

On the site, there are 3 shelters, a fireplace with a grill grate, and a composting toilet. The campsite is situated on a larger grassy area 200 m from Ballesbækgård on the south side of Rørbæk Sø. The site is partially surrounded by trees and borders a smaller heathland area. There is also the possibility to pitch tents here. The site is a couple of hundred meters from the shore of Rørbæk Sø. During the summer season (May 1st - November 1st), water can be fetched at Ballesbækgård, where there is also access to toilets. Access to the composting toilet on site all year round - bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want dry wood, you must bring your own, but it is otherwise permitted to collect wood from the forest floor for use at the campfire site. Waste from the shelter area must be taken with you or deposited in the container at the parking lot. At Ballesbækgård, visitors can also eat their packed food. There are 2 toilets and an accessible toilet. Outside there are tables and benches, a fireplace, a stone grill, and an accessible grill. Furthermore, hiking routes. The shelter area is reserved for larger groups in connection with special types of events, such as school, sports, or scout events, camps based on a given religious belief, etc. (minimum 15 people) and must be booked directly via the “Book here” button or via Naturstyrelsen’s booking system. Note that your booking will be cancelled if you have not arrived at the site by 8 PM. If no one has booked the spot, it is, however, available to everyone who wishes to settle down for a shorter or longer period.
