About this spot
The campsite is well-hidden and scenic in Rutsker Højlyng, right next to the forest lake Tværmyr. The 70 km long hiking trail Højlyngsstien, which crosses Bornholm, passes directly by the site. It costs 15 DKK per person per night to stay at the site - with a minimum of 100 DKK per booking/payment. The campsite can be booked here: https://bornholmsdivision.dk/tvaermyr, if you want to be sure there’s space. Alternatively, you can pay via MobilePay to 23 35 18 96. Mark the payment ‘Tværmyr’ and write your arrival date. The site is very primitive and consists of a reasonably level lawn, which is mowed approximately once a year. Therefore, it must be expected that the grass will be long for parts of the year. There is access to a water tap near the site - the code for the water tap is provided upon booking. There is no waste bin at the site, and all trash must therefore be taken with you from the site. There is no toilet at the site - and natural waste must therefore be buried. See more on the sign at the site. The campsite is owned by Det Danske Spejderkorps, Bornholms Division. Any surplus from the site goes to scout work for children and young people on Bornholm. Address: Krashavevej 34C, Rutsker Højlyng, 3760 Gudhjem. Position: 55.20399, 14.85769.
