About this spot
Next to the site, there is a firewood area with a chopping block, saw, and sawhorse. Here, it is permitted to take wood from the firewood stack for use at the site or to use dead branches from the forest floor. Only make a fire as large as you need – so there is firewood for the next visitors and the grill grate is not damaged. Remember to extinguish the fire THOROUGHLY after use, so no embers remain – or stay until the fire has completely burned out, to prevent wildfires.
