About this spot
The shelter site is located in connection with the nature playground in Hareløkkerne, and features two shelters, picnic tables, a fire pit, and a barbecue grill. One shelter is handicapped-accessible – a wheelchair can be rolled directly into the shelter via a ramp. Practical: Parking in the parking lot at Segenvej, directly opposite the harness racing track. From here, it is approximately 100 meters’ walk along a flat gravel path to the shelters. The shelters are located behind the playground when coming from the parking lot. It is not permitted to drive cars on the gravel roads in the forest. A handicapped-accessible toilet with water is located immediately west of the playground. The toilet building is on the right when coming from the parking lot. The site is used on a “first-come, first-served” basis and cannot be booked. Remember to show good shelter etiquette, and make room if there is space for more. There is space for 5-6 adults in each shelter. Overnight stays are limited to one night in the shelter. Firewood is regularly delivered to the fire huts in Hareløkkerne. You can collect firewood from there. But if you want to be sure, you must bring your own. Remember to extinguish the fire THOROUGHLY after use, so no embers remain – or stay until the fire has completely burned out, to prevent wildfires.
