Hinge søbad

Hinge Sø is situated in quiet surroundings south of Kjellerup, and the lake contains a single public swimming area (Hinge søbad). There is a bathing jetty, sandy beach, toilet facilities, and table and bench sets at the swimming area. Packed lunch house and fire / grill site. The toilet building is open from April 1st to October 15th. Shelters can be booked on Fritidsportalen Silkeborg fritidsportalen.silkeborg.dk. The surrounding recreation area is partially forested. The lake is very nutrient-rich and receives significant amounts of nutrients. The many nutrients mean that there are often many algae in Hinge Sø, which affects bathing water quality. The algae can be toxic, and one should not swim if the water is greenish or unclear.
