About this spot
The site is located in the Skjern River valley, set back from Skjern Å, sheltered by a willow thicket. Nearby, there is a good system of hiking trails, bike paths, and shelter sites. There is a landing pier, which provides good opportunities for launching canoes and kayaks. Out in the delta, the cable ferries provide access to experiences with the rich birdlife that the river delta hosts. The area is managed naturally by large herds of cattle, horses, sheep, and goats to improve living conditions, especially for wading birds and meadow birds. The area hosts two nature exhibitions that, among other things, tell about life in the meadows and life in the river. In case of rain and high water levels, the paths along the river courses may become impassable. Toilets are available at Pumpestation Nord 200 meters from the site. There are NO waste bins at the site. We expect you to manage your own waste. There is NO firewood at the site. We expect you to bring your own firewood if needed.
