Larger groups (15 or more) from associations and similar organizations must book the site via the link here (max two overnight stays): https://udinaturen.dk/shelter/103331. Private individuals and smaller groups can use the site on a first-come, first-served basis and may stay one night. Remember to show good shelter etiquette and make space if there’s room for more people in the shelter. Each shelter has space for 7-8 adults. It is permitted to collect dead branches from the forest floor for firewood. Remember to extinguish the fire THOROUGHLY after use, so no embers remain – or stay until the fire has burned out completely to prevent a wildfire. Parking: Ølenevej 73, 50 meters from the shelters. Shopping is available in Pedersker, approximately 400 m south of the shelter site. The shelters were built in partnership between Sydbornholms Privatskole, Pedersker Lokalforening, and Naturstyrelsen.
