Gludsted Plantage, shelterplads ved Trotylsøen (shelter 2)

Shelter site at Trotylsøen in the central part of Gludsted Plantage. The shelter site is located at Hampen Søvej near a small lake, Trotylsøen, in a planted drift sand area, Gludsted Sande, in the southern part of Gludsted Plantage. With its 3400 hectares, the plantation is one of the country’s largest. The plantation is located just before Hærvejen at Hjøllund, where there is an inn and shopping facilities. There is a campfire site, a bench, and a forest latrine. There is no drinking water! The site has 3 shelters, each with space for 6 people. Two out of the three shelters can be booked. On this page, you can book “shelter 2.” Furthermore, wild camping is allowed throughout Gludsted Plantage. Driving to the site is not allowed: Parking at Gludstedvej/Isenbjergvej. On foot: From Hjøllund west after Isenvad. After approx. 2 km, follow the forest road, Silkeborgvej, southwest to the observation tower at Stjernen. From here, follow Hampen Søvej approx. 300 m south-southeast to Trotylsøen.
