The shelter is located in a fenced area alongside Vestsallingstien and close to Spøttrup borg. Around the shelter, a demonstration area has been established with espalier apple and pear trees. The entire fruit tree collection is planted with approximately 1300 trees, including apples, pears, plums, nuts, and sweet chestnuts. You are welcome to taste the fruit. Part of the fruit tree collection is a gene bank for old apple varieties. Guided tours can be arranged. Further information available at the shelter.
