Dyrekærhusets shelter

You have the opportunity to stay overnight under the stars in Dyrekærhuset’s shelter, which is located on the outskirts of Dyrekærskoven, where there is also a rippling stream. The shelter has space for 6 people and must be booked in advance. As an overnight guest, you have access to an outdoor kitchen, toilet and bath, terraces, and free coffee and tea. Organic breakfast can be purchased separately. You must bring your own sleeping mat and sleeping bag or similar. Towels can be found in the bathroom. The nature in the area is hilly and characterized by forest and open fields, and close to the house lies Tremhøjen at 100 meters altitude, where there is a fantastic view. In the area, there is also a magnificent view over Horsens Fjord. Near Tremhøj, there is an archaeological museum, and just nearby you will also find the visitor garden Den Kreative Have and Børnebondegården. Dyrekærhuset’s shelter functions excellently as an overnight accommodation on the popular route around Horsens Fjord and Banestien Odder-Horsens. From the shelter, it is seven kilometers to the Blue Flag beach Husodde, 10 to Horsens Centrum, and approx. 8 to the Nørrestrand wildlife sanctuary. We look forward to seeing you.
