Møborg shelterplads

A lovely large site with 2 shelters, a large bonfire house, a grill, 10 picnic tables, and play equipment for the little ones. In addition, there is electricity, water, and an outhouse. The site is located on a former sports field and therefore invites games and play, and of course cozy gatherings for both large and small groups. The area is level and therefore also suitable for people with walking difficulties. 5 km from Møborg lies Bækmarksbro town with shops, train, and a sports center. The site was established by voluntary labor, and we ask you to treat the site with respect and to be considerate of the night’s peace after 11:00 PM. There is also a good opportunity for a hike on marked trails in scenic surroundings around Møborg Bakkeø, which is designated as a geosite in Geopark Vestjylland. Starting from the beacon mound in Møborg or the parking lot east of the sandpit, Spor i Landskabet has marked a hiking route where you can experience the landscape on and around Møborg Bakkeø, the unique nature of the oak scrub, and glimpse into the geological layers from different ice ages. The burial mounds and the church tell how people from ancient times settled in the area. The Bakkeø is designated as a “Geosite” in Geopark Vestjylland.
